Italian Rose Wine Festival

It's time of rosè. From 30th of June to 3rd of July and from 29th of August to 8th of September, the city of Siena and then the city of Venice will be animated by Rosé Wine Festival.
An event dedicated to the best of "rosé wine" on the basis of the labels selected during a first national competition of the rosé wines, which was held in April in Bari "This is Red White and Rosé" is the title of the event and wine tastings, pairings and times of deepening are the heart of the event.

Food and wine tours take visitors into the world of italian rosé wines, often forgotten and not considered, but that is pleasant to drink.
They are fresh and fragrant, offering the happy medium between black and red suitable to many circumstances, and are in no way inferior to the most popular italian red wines and italian white wines.
So why underestimating them? Just think that in the south of France the wine is rosé wine.
The event was promoted by the Region of Puglia and the National Vine and Wine, sponsored by the Region of Puglia Agri-Resources Department in collaboration with Italian wine cellar. The first stage, as already mentioned, will be held in conjunction with the Palio in Siena at the end of June and the second stage in Venice in August with Film Festival.
Stefàno Councillor explains, "We are delighted to bring the first Festival of excellence in rosè wine", in this circumstance is the ambition to move to ramp up production of a type of wine-making always most appreciated by consumers and markets. But not only, our rosy is the calling card for the new generations, to those who by age or geographical location, are not yet ready for a taste of our more structured red. An appropriate choice, it is true that Puglia produces 40% of Italian rosé, and that the first half of the year, although at a delicate stage for the Italian economy, showed very positive results. "
