Wedding in Amalfi coast

There are many ancient customs relating to the marriage. The bouquet, for example, is usually given by the groom to the bride after the official engagement and flowers for the wedding day should be strictly fresh.
After the ceremony the bride throws the bouquet in the direction of the girls still unmarried. According to tradition, the girl who first grabs the bouquet will be married within the year.
This ancient custom dates back to ancient times. Arab brides, in fact, were decorated with orange flowers, a purity and fertility symbol, while the Egyptian brides, the wedding day, brought with them herbs and flowers against evil spirits. Fortunately, today every bride chooses the bouquet according to own tastes and preferences.
